Team Information

Team #2851 is a family with a plethora of innovative ideas, skills, and love of science and technology. This team is Crevolution. It is only our team’s second year and we’ve already had so many achievements. We’ve achieved the status of a 501c3 non-profit organization, two-time Rookie All Star Winner, Website Award Winner, and Rising Star Winner. In spending so many days together, this team has become a family. As a family, we have shared our hopes and dreams for the future, reached out to our neighbors in the community, overcame many struggles, celebrated our successes, and learned from our failures. We’ve developed marketable skills that will help us with our future careers and priceless relationships with our sponsors and each other.

We would also like to give a shout-out to our local friends in FIRST:

Crevolution is currently an Ambassador team for the US FIRST Girls program found at usfirstgirls.org

Today, everything is about business. We recognize this and adhered to this fact of life by creating accounting, inventory, marketing, and public relations groups in which each student is encouraged to dabble. In this economic recession, we Crevolutionaries are aware of how difficult it is to keep a business afloat. That is why we are now a 501c3 non-profit organization. Companies that donate their time, money, and materials to support us are given a tax deduction by the government. BAE Systems is a major supporter of Crevolution that this family could not survive without. Our dependence on their sponsorship is due to the fact that most companies don’t have anything to give during the economic down turn. Though times are tough, we’ve still gained many sponsors these past two years and we would like to thank them all for their much appreciated support.

Finally, we would like to thank our wonderful mentors and volunteers, who we could not work without. From helping edit to newsletters to proving advice on how to make a part work, these people are a great help to the team.

Crevolutionaries are not only disciples of FIRST, but a family addicted to robotics. We wish to spread our joy in science and technology to our community. We don’t limit ourselves to the many aspects of robotics. Business is also a large portion of what we do. We’ve suffered through many toils and struggles and come out on top. This has made us better people and prepared for a career in science, technology, or business. We are working today for a better tomorrow.
